In an edition of New York Magazine’s “Life in Pictures” series, photographer Christopher Anderson shadowed David Hallberg, a dancer from the American Ballet Theatre, giving us a peek into his the way he spends the day preparing for one of his performances.
Anderson’s photos show Hallberg engaging in several rituals before his performance, such as getting into a plank position to strengthen himself, and grabbing a full stack of pancakes, eggs and sausage at the local diner.
