Mark Zuckerberg Dumps Ice Water On Himself To Raise Disease Awareness

Making its round on social media lately is a dare called ‘The Ice Bucket Challenge’, where individuals dump a bucket of ice water on themselves in the name of charity.

This viral movement aims to raise awareness for a form of motor neurone disease—amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Individuals are required to empty a bucket of ice-cold water over themselves and post that video to social media. They then throw down the gauntlet to three other individuals to complete the same challenge within 24 hours, failing which, a donation has to be made.

And famous personalities have been taking up the challenge.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has doused cold water over himself and issued the challenge to Bill Gates, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings.

What are your thoughts about this campaign?
