A NYC Penthouse With An Awesome 4-Storey High Slide

New York-based architect David Hotson has added an unusual element to a lower Manhattan penthouse that he has designed—a gigantic, 4-storey high tubular slide that will take users all the way from the attic to the entrance level.

Made of mirror polished stainless steel, this shiny slide snakes and coils down the length of the penthouse—windows are cut into it, admitting light and offering users a fleeting vista of the entire property on their way down.

The slide is split into two, with a landing on the third floor, where occupants of the house can choose to exit or continue down to the Entrance Gallery.

This fun, ultra-modern penthouse is made more charming by the fact that it occupies the top floors of a late 19th century building.
