Michigan-based artist Math Monahan has created a series of gorgeous installation artworks—titled “Between”—that feature books with beautifully braided pages.
Braiding the pages in a way similar to how one will do a french braid, the artist often do not secure these paper braids in any way, allowing them to unfold slowly over time.
According to Monahan, the project is “an installation that explores the stillness in the space between places, powers and context”.
