Boston-based Japanese artist Kenji Nakayama was a mechanical engineer by training before giving that up to study traditional sign painting.
Other than making stunning stencil paintings, he has also created a series of gorgeous signs on ornate antique saws that feature lovely hand-lettered typography.
The hand-painted colorful words and graphic elements on the saws’ blades, coupled with their beautifully stylized handles, turn these old tools into unique ornamental pieces.
