Buckingham Palace To Host Catwalk Show

For the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation, Buckingham Palace will be staging a catwalk show in July.

The four-day fashion event will take place in the Palace gardens, where a runway—which will “take the form of a paved stone path lined with flowers”, according toBritish VOGUE—will be made.

Audience members can sit on benches that are designed to replicate the look of topiary hedges, and watch the four different shows featured over the few days—which will showcase different themes of British style over the last six decades.

The apparels that will be displayed are created by royal warrant holders, “companies and brands that have supplied goods or services to the Royal family for five years or more”, British VOGUE writes.

These royal warrant holders include Moet & Chandon, Bentley, Lock & Co, Fulton Umbrellas, Hunter and John Lewis.

Popular film ‘James Bond’ will also be honored at the event, with designs by Thresher and Glenny, Gieves & Hawkes and Henry Poole.

Want to be one of the 400 of the members of public to be there? Tickets are available at CoronationFestival.com at £30 each.
