Fun, Vibrant Illustrations Of Iceland In A Curious “Flattened” Style

Berlin-based Icelandic illustrator Siggi Eggertsson created a series of striking and colorful illustrations for bank Landsbankinn that will have you looking at the Nordic country from a different perspective.

Rendered in his signature “modern Impressionist” style, the illustrations showcases scenes from Iceland, where the various elements—such as buildings, mountains, water bodies and fields—look curiously but pleasingly flattened.

The results are rather abstract but still easily understood depictions of Iceland’s beautiful landscapes and city views—these illustrations have even won the prestigious Golden Star at the ADC*E Awards.
