Rome-based designer and illustrator Simona Merlini has created a mysterious set of vector images of superheroes, villains, and characters of popular culture.
Titled “Guess Who?”, the set of vector images features characters such as Batman, Robin, The Incredible Hulk, Darth Vader, Iron Man and many more.
By making use of a hexagonal shape for each character, Merlini uses the shape to bring out their defining elements—such as the hair shape of Wonder Woman, or the hood of Little Red Riding Hood.
By using the right colors and drawing the distinct characteristics of each character, the popular culture characters can be easily identified—for example, the rounded glasses and lightning scare of Harry Potter and the silhouette of Batman’s headpiece.
