Japan Unveils The Smallest, Lightest Mobile Phone Ever?

Japanese handset manufacturer Willcom has unveiled the world’s smallest and lightest mobile phone.

Standing just two-inches tall, Phone Strap 2 has a one-inch display and retractable antenna, and weighs about 32-grams.

It offers users the basic functions of calling, texting, emailing of up to 10,000 characters (with 1,024 characters each transmission), and 1,000 phonebook entries.

The downside is that the US$380 phone offers only two hours of talk time, and 300 hours of standby time (12.5 days).

Phone Strap 2 is a limited edition with only 12,000 units available in pink, white and black, and will be made available from late March.

Would this make for another useful back-up phone?
