End of last year, PANTONE announced the color of the year 2013: PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, which is the “color of energy”, “the color of possibility, “the color of power”, according to PANTONE.
In partnership with Sephora, the color authority has once again teamed up with Sephora for a new line of makeup, and unveiled the SEPHORA + PANTONE UNIVERSE: Emerald Collection.
“Inspired by a gem that’s rarer than diamonds, the color PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald channels the decadence of old glamor while reflecting the electrifying energy of now,” PANTONE wrote.
“Its distant hue, falling exactly between true blue and true green on the color spectrum, makes Emerald a universally flattering tone that activates and enhances every eye color. The result: absolute color confidence in the color of the year.”
