Typographic Embroidery: Beautiful Hand-Stitched Alphabets

New York-based graphic designer Aries Wan has created a beautiful hand-stitched set of typefaces in CMYK shades.

Titled ‘Stereoscopic Stitch’, the project is an experiment in typography and pays tribute to traditional hand embroidery.

Each alphabet is created out of two different CMYK colors to achieve an optical 3D effect, and the colors were chosen to represent the four-color printing process.

This gorgeous typeface has won a certificate in typographic excellence in TDC Communication Design Competition 2012.
