The fabric softener brand Downy has created a new ad that wants to encourage people to start hugging each other more often.
Just this week, Downy unveiled an online video that was a part of a new campaign, #hugmore.
In it, we see four sets of couples: twin brothers, two sisters, lifelong friends and childhood sweethearts. They tell their stories of their close friendships and bonds an interviewer behind the camera.
The interviewer later asks them to give each other a hug. In the brief moments that follow, it becomes evident that there is power in the closeness of a hug with a loved one.
