Swiss artists and twin brothers Frank and Patrik Riklin have created a large-scale outdoor installation titled “Bignik”, featuring a gigantic picnic blanket covering a field in Stein, Switzerland.
The “Bignik” was constructed from donated towels, curtains, sheets and tablecloths sewn together—it invites visitors to bring food and create a picnic adventure of their own.
The brothers share the same thoughts that “art has to have a clear function”, and that it should not be confined within the space of museums and art galleries but experienced in real life.
