Apple has revealed the new font it would be using on the latest OS X 10.10, Yosemite, at the Worldwide Developers Conference yesterday. It bears similarities to what is being used in iOS 7.
The new operating system will be adopting the use of Helvetica Neue, which would replace the classic Lucida Grande that has been in use since 2001. This move would bring uniformity across Apple's desktop operating system and its mobile platform.
Apple users will be able to see the change when navigating through the “folders, windows and menu bars”—the implementation of the font is deemed to be an improvement for its “functionality and visual” aspects on the platform.
Readers can be find out more from the conference's Keynote address.
