Condominium Sets Guinness World Record For Largest Vertical Garden

Singapore condominium Tree House, developed by the City Developments Limited (Singapore) has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest vertical garden.

Measuring at 24,638.59-square-feet, the garden does not just serve an aesthetic purpose but also promises to reap more than $500,000 in energy and water savings annually.

Other features of the condominium include heat-reducing windows and motion sensors that are placed at staircases to activate lights automatically.

According to the deputy chairman of CDL Mr Kwek Leng Joo, “the eco-inspired Tree House has not only created a place where residents are proud to call home, but more importantly, a green icon which places Singapore on the world map”.

The condominium is expected to be completed in December 2017.
