After surveying 1,000 creative professional and 500 students of creative disciplines—including graphic designers, illustrators, web designers, photographers and videographers—Adobe has released an illuminating report, titled “The New Creatives”, that reveals the current state of the creative industry.
Documenting the sentiments of creatives on subjects from their perceived value in the workplace to the use and proliferation of mobile technologies, this report would be a good read for anyone who is interested or involved in the creative industries.
One of the key trends that has been highlighted in this report is how “creativity is going mobile”—for instance, 70% of creatives are creating content for mobile”.
It seems that not only has the creative industry undergone rapid change in the last five years, but more dramatic change is expected for the future—and according to most of the surveyed creatives, it would be change for the better.
