Book publishers Taschen has published a collection of barenaked world war two soldiers in a new photo book titled ‘My Buddy: World War II Laid Bare’.
The collection assembled by historian Dian Hanson shows us a side of what war soldiers face, as they go through long periods of no privacy and are forced to spend a lot of time together with a group of men.
Hanson also notes that war soldiers go through intense situations together, making their bonds deeper and increasing the level of intimacy they have with each other. That eventually makes them become accustomed with doing activities while completely naked around each other.
