Photographer Embarks On Yearlong Project To Take An Infrared Picture A Day

Inspired by the ‘365 Project’ phenomenon sweeping the globe, Cape Town-based photographer Katie Davis embarked on her own mission to take a picture everyday in 2014.

Dubbed ‘365 Days in Infrared’, she has been chronicling snapshots of her daily life and sharing the images on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

Her photographs are mostly of places and people dear to her, and range from dreamy shots of the South African landscape to its denizens going about their everyday lives.

Shooting in infrared means Davis can’t view the pictures through her camera’s viewfinder, forcing her to think out of the box. The situation is made more challenging by her decision to capture the images as circles.

Check out some of her pictures below and follow her project at her website.
