Six Creative Icons To Reimagine Louis Vuitton’s Famous Monogram

To celebrate its 160th anniversary, world-famous French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has launched “The Icon And Iconoclasts” project, where it has invited 6 renowned creatives to produce special edition bags and luggage, on which the company’s iconic monogram would be reimagined.

The six participating creatives are namely fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, artist Cindy Sherman, architect Frank Gehry, shoe designer Christian Louboutin, and designer Rei Kawakubo.

According to Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, “the monogram is at the center of our house, so we celebrate the monogram every day. But we thought this project was really special because the personalities we chose are fascinating and diverse”.

Images from the project is now still top secret, but the products from this collaboration would be available for purchase by mid-October 2014 in selected Louis Vuitton stores.

How would you reimagine the Louis Vuitton monogram, if you were to be given that opportunity?
