Starbucks recently introduced the ‘Starbucks College Achievement Plan’, in collaboration with Arizona State University, to pay for its employees to attend online college classes.
This employee benefit will be applicable for US Starbucks employees who work more than 20 hours per week and have the necessary test scores for admission to the university.
Additionally, Starbucks will also fully pay for employees with at least two years of college credits, while those with less than two years of college credits will receive a partial sponsorship.
“I believe it will lower attrition, it’ll increase performance, it’ll attract and retain better people," Starbucks CEO Howard D. Schultz told the New York Times.
