A Tumblr blog called Now It’s A F*cking Froyo Place posts before and after pictures of New York City’s retail spaces that have been transformed into frozen yogurt shops.
This blog serves to comment on the increasing homogeneity in New York City—a wide variety of beloved shops like restaurants, laundromats, and grocery stores have closed down to make way for the presumed demand for frozen yogurt.
Although this blog is humorous in nature, it also serves to protest against the city’s changing landscape, imploring us to preserve the unique identity that it has before it is gone.
What do you think—are you willing to take a stand against such gentrification?
