Based in Kiev, Ukraine, UI/UX designer Dmitriy Haraberush decided to create a concept redesign of Whatsapp for iOS8 when he realized that he had stopped using the app and moved on to Viber due to its better interface.
Sticking closely to what Whatsapp currently looks like, so that his project would look more like an actual version of the app instead of just a concept, the designer not only altered the way the app looks on-screen, but also added in some features that he thought would be useful or fun.
For instance, he included “a Nokia-style of group creating” to allow users to categorize their contacts and suggested the use of popular quotes in the status section.
