Marina Rosso is an Italian photographer who decided to focus on how life is like for a married couple after more than five decades of being with each other.
Her project's subjects were none other than Licia and Ryan, Rosso's very own grandparents.
Despite them being her family, Rosso felt that her photo series helped her to understand them better and as a result, drew her closer to them.
As background to her project, Rosso mentioned the following: “Licia and Ryan married 57 years ago in a small town next to Udine, Italy. They spent all their lives together since now that at the early age of 85, things start to be more difficult and the rhythms are slower. All the days look like the others, every movement is a repetitional loop. But anyways, this is what keeps them still alive: the idea of being self sufficient and to help each other.”
