To celebrate 5 years of Global Handwashing Day, soap brand via Lifebuoy has launched a campaign that shares the joy of a southern Indian farmer named Gondappa who celebrates his son’s fifth birthday by walking on his hands.
Global Handwashing Day aims to raise awareness of proper sanitation when statistics revealed that more 1.1 million children die before the age of 5 due to diarrheal diseases –which could be prevented by practicing handwash.
Gondappa had managed to walk for miles on his hands to a temple, to celebrate his son’s fifth birthday.
