Romanian designer Diana Dumitrescu, who gave us these irreverent poo lamps, has created another visually-arresting lighting option—stunning black light bulbs that will add a large dose of cool to any space.
Proving that illuminating objects need not be light colored, these intense black light bulbs are definitely statement-making, conversation pieces—the designer made them even more striking then they already are by encasing them in beautiful, geometric cages or welding them together in bunches.
In addition to black-tinted incandescent bulbs that emit a natural ambient light, Dumitrescu also uses intriguing black light bulbs that gives out an ultraviolet radiation that is invisible to the human eye.
It is unexpected—and fascinating—to find that these dark bulbs shine with a fierce whiteness in the dark, just like regular white bulbs.
