Swan Disguise Brings Photographer Closer To Bird Subjects





Henryk Janowski is a wildlife photographer who had an ingenious idea of disguising himself as a large wild swan, so as to get up-close and personal with his feathered friends without scaring them away with his human appearance.



The floating swan hides the clever photographer and his equipment, with Janowski submerged behind it up to his head wearing a neoprene diving suit. Overall, his efforts have been nothing short of a success.



To help us understand just how it was like to take amazing pictures of nature using such an unorthodox method, Janowski recounted his experience as such, “Whenever I swim in my camouflage, I feel at one with nature. You pass birds and beavers at play, undisturbed by human presence. This proved to me that I had successfully broken the taboo that the aquatic environment was inaccessible.”
