After he had built his 30-foot treehouse, Ethan Schlussler quickly got sick of climbing the stairs “six and a half million times a day” and decided to come up with a less physicall strenuous way of accessing it.
The result of is a bicycle-powered ‘elevator’ which allows Schlussler to pedal himself up, getting to his abode in 30 seconds.
The bicycle traveled too quickly at first, so Schlussler had to reduce its speed by getting rid of the de-railers, making a new chain tensioner and welding the front sprocket to the rear.
