Inspired by the success of the "Cronut" in New York City, British retailer Greggs has come up with their very own version of this popular pastry.
These “Greggsnuts” will be available for UK£1 from 6 September 1 October 2013 in two flavors—crème and caramel and pecan as well as summer berry.
What makes a Greggsnut different from the Cronut is the type of cream used—berry or caramel—with the retailer declaring it a “taste sensation”.
It took this bakery two months to perfect this recipe, and they hope that these Greggsnuts will become as big a hit as Cronuts.
