The Federation of Bakers in the UK has released an unusual limited edition perfume that smells like toast, with “yeasty top notes and a hint of caramel and malt”.
Created by The Aroma Company, the Eau de Toast is a statement against the popular bread-free diet that is based on the idea that eating carbohydrate-heavy food makes it difficult to lose weight.
Aiming to “bring bread back into fashion”, the creators of this starchy fragrance invited models at last week’s London Fashion Week to walk down the runway in this delicious scent.
To make bread appear even more attractive, the federation not only stated its nutritional merits, but also quoted a recent study that found that the smell of fresh bread makes us kinder.
While the smell of hot toast may be pleasant in the morning, we wonder if it is such a good idea to wear it as a perfume.
