This year, a group of 24 gigantic, vibrantly colored snails will take over the streets of Sydney, Australia during the city’s annual “Art & About” event, which will be held from 20 September to 20 October 2013.
Created by international art collective Cracking Art Group, these eye-catching molluscs are made entirely of recyclable materials and is meant as a reminder of the importance of environmental awareness.
This is not the first time that the “Snailovation” snails have been unleased upon the world—they were first seen at the Miami Art Basel in 2010.
Check out the Art & About website for more information about this installation and the exact locations where you can find the snails.
