A humorous website called ‘The Carter Family Portrait’ inserts the musical couple's faces into iconic works of art such as Botticelli's The Birth Of Venus and Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, drawing parallels between their lives and the scenarios in the original paintings.
In a parody of Michelangelo’s The Creation Of Adam, Jay-Z is shown offering an outstretched hand toward a nude Kanye West as a symbol of friendship. Another picture features Beyoncé’s smouldering gaze as the subject of Johnannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.
