When we featured this “smallest house in Sweden” last year, we thought that it is really as tiny as a permanent lodging can get.
However, the Swedes have recently out-done themselves with this latest creation from Tengbom Architects—a beautiful wooden “cottage” designed for students that measures just 10 square meters.
Amazingly, in additional to all the required features of a modern apartment—including a kitchen, a bathroom and a sleeping loft—this micro-flat also offers a small garden with a patio.
The eco-friendly structure is made of locally sourced, cross-laminated wood that has low carbon emission and is energy-efficient—construction time is also lowered as an innovative assembling technique makes it possible for it to be put together on site.
One of these lovely student units is on exhibition from now until 8 December 2013 at the Virserum Art Museum in Småland, Sweden—don’t you think that this is also a great option for dense urban living in the city?
