The ‘World’s Thinnest Keyboard’ Is Just Half A Millimeter Thick

Cambridge, England-based, research-focused tech company CSR—which specializes in wireless technology—has recently unveiled the “world’s thinnest keyboard”.

The flexible, touchscreen keyboard is just half a millimeter thick and is probably going to be marketed as a lightweight external keyboard for tablet devices.

Known for its innovative work—its portfolio includes the wireless Beats headphones and Nike Running gadget—CSR has designed this ultra-thin keyboard to be customisable to its user’s needs.

For instance, the keyboard can be printed in different languages, or personalised to reflect certain functions and typing patterns to make working on it easier—it can even be used under a piece of paper to transcript hand-written notes directly to one’s computer.

Currently, CSR’s new product is still a prototype and a year away from being available for sale.
