Tumblr user Dip That Pen, Shake That Speare was reading Milton’s “anti-rhyme diatribe” in Paradise Lost when “Lucifer” by Jay-Z started playing.
Inspired, the illustrator decided to create an infographic that shows how rhyme has shaped rap music, featuring some of the rappers whose rhymes have catapulted them to stardom.
Other interesting aspects of this infographic include the history of rhyme, which further goes to show how literature has shaped pop culture today.
Aspiring copywriters can also draw inspiration from these lyrics and rhyming techniques—this could possibly help with writing catchy taglines and slogans.
