Designer Marc Thomasset of Brussels-based studio TM created the first edition of “The Inspiration Pad” a few years ago because he “wanted to turn the conventional upside down with curved, angles and twisted lines in order to create one which could inspire people to unleash their own creativity”.
He has recently released an updated edition of this notebook that is designed to spark creativity—its pages contain new patterns of wacky lines that look like glitchy versions of the conventional, uniform lines normally found in notebooks.
For instance, there is an irregular pattern that looks like the topographic markings made on maps and another one that forms the image of a rainbow arching across two pages.
