A stint at the hospital is never pleasant, especially for young patients who are likely to be intimidated by the sterile medical environment.
To help children feel more at ease during their hospital stays, designer Jung Hyun Min has re-designed the more or less standardised fluid package to create the adorable “Halo Duck” fluid bottle.
The re-designed fluid bottle contains a clear ball with a sweet little duck in it that floats on top of the liquid, a whimsical touch that aims to entertain and cheer up children who need fluid transfusion.
This “duckie ball” also serves a functional purpose as it blocks the tube hole of an IV once the transfusion is complete, effectively preventing any backflow of blood.
