A new advertisement from Y&R Midwest for DieHard car batteries is centered around a zombie apocalypse, a theme that has been popularized in recent times.
The opening of the spot sees a man and a woman fleeing from zombies. As the man is stronger, he initially manages to climb over a fenced gate without his lady. The lady struggles at first, but the zombies’ constant tugging at the gate causes it to fall and the lady runs to catch up.
By this time, the man has successfully jumped into a car to flee the scene, but his car is unable to start because of a dead battery. As a result, the vehicle remains immobile, leaving him to be attacked by zombies eventually.
The lady jumps into a separate vehicle, and although she is also tormented by zombies, she manages to start the car quickly and drive off to safety—all because of batteries that didn't die!
