Last week, Apple unveiled the new Apple Campus 2, which will be completed in 2016.

CNet News has managed to find a video that shows what went on behind the scenes.

In it, UK-based architect Norman Foster explains how the building “grew into” its current spaceship-like shape, with Foster recalling that Jobs had said, “Don't think of me as your client—think of me as one of your team.”

The video also includes interesting info-nuggets like how Jobs drew inspiration from his Stanford campus as well as his childhood memories to come up with a design for his new headquarters.

Additional fun facts include how the campus is environmentally friendly—the people behind this project will plant more resilient species of trees, “maximizing [its] natural assets”.
