UK-based company Pro-Teq developed ‘STARPATH’, a spray-on solution that leaves a glowing residue that resembles sparkling stars.
The anti-slip, water-resistant surface product adjusts to natural light, releasing luminosity according to the brightness of its surroundings. It absorbs and stores energy from UV rays, making it an effective energy-free alternative to street lights.
STARPATH was tested in England, covering a 140-meters long pathway at Christ’s Pieces Park in Cambridge. Pro-Teq seeks to incorporate its product in other public parks and footpaths.
