Approved by the Cupertino City Council, the new Apple Campus 2 resembles a gigantic glass wheel and will be completed in 2016.
The late Steve Jobs commissioned British firm Foster + Partners' to come up with this design, which costs around US$5 billion.
The large 260,000 square-meter campus will provide for 13,000 employees, and will be equipped with research and development facilities, a company fitness center, a 1000-seat auditorium as well as a private park.
According to Dan Whisenhunt, Apple's head of real estate, this campus was designed with “ the same care and attention to detail” as the firm’s products.
It looks as though this campus will be both an inspiring and conducive environment for all staff.
