
Japan’s Aomori Prefecture is known as the garlic-producing leader of the nation. The people of Aomori love their garlic, so much so that they will have it in their beer.
‘Garlic Black Beer’ is a novelty beer created by Aomori resident Shoji Kudo, and contains extracts of their famous fermented black garlic.
The drink tastes like normal beer on first sip, but finishes off with a strong garlic aftertaste that is akin to having consumed a garlic-filled meal.
