If you haven’t heard of Alison Gold before, be prepared to hear her name on a more daily basis, because she has been dubbed as the ‘new Rebecca Black’.
From the producers behind Black’s viral music video ‘Friday’, comes ‘Chinese Food’—a song about, well, Chinese food that is full of “Asian stereotypes”, according to Huffington Post.
Produced by Patrice Wilson and performed by Alison Gold, the song has Gold singing about how much she loves Chinese food like chow mein, noodles and fried rice.
Just like the ‘Friday’ music video, Wilson also makes an appearance, this time dressed in a panda costume and rapping in an “Asian-sounding voice”.
The video also shows both Wilson and Gold dancing with geisha girls, who are unfortunately not Chinese but Japanese.
What do you think of ‘Chinese Food’? Is this better or worse than Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’?
We’ll leave both songs below for you to compare.
