Many people have taken to selling their stuff on Instagram—every year there are almost 2 million pictures with the hashtag #forsale. However, the social app is constantly being bombarded with all sorts of hashtags, making it difficult to search for something specific.
To make things much easier, a new website called ‘Hashbag’ narrows down search results to those with a #forsale hashtag.
Sellers are facilitated in selling their items—all they have to do is Instagram a picture of it with the #forsale hashtag, and the system will send them an email to set the price. After this has been done, the product will go live on the user’s personal storefront.
Buyers can simply use the search bar on site to search for things they want. Transactions can be made through the website via Paypal.
