Delaware-based type foundry House Industries was recently tasked with the assignment of creating a new, custom typeface for the redesign of The New Yorker.

To do this, they worked with the original designer of the classic Neutraface typeface, Christian Schwartz, and creative director of The New Yorker, Wyatt Mitchell.

Along with House Industries’ very own Ben Kiel, they modernized the font while keeping it true to its nine decades of heritage and history.
