French film-makers Claire and Maxime of Menilmonde has produced a thought-provoking short film that features an unfamiliar Paris that is completely devoid of people.
Inspired by Ross Ching’s “Empty America” series, the duo—who specialises in travel videos—deleted the humans and their cars from the well-known streets and squares of the usually bustling French capital, to create eerie, almost post-apocalyptic scenes.
The result is a poignant clip that prompts the viewer to think about the human race’s impact on our planet—at the same time, the video also allows the viewer to enjoy Paris without the distracting crowds.
