The Creative Halloween Costumes Of A One-Legged Paralympic Ski Racer

Josh Sundquist was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer when he was nine and had his left leg amputated after a year of chemotherapy treatment.

Sundquist did not let his lack of a leg bother him, going on to become a best-selling author, motivational speaker, and member of the US Paralympic Ski Team.

In recent years, he has embraced his one-leggedness by donning creative and unusual costumes for Halloween. In 2010, he was dressed as a partially eaten Gingerbread Man and in 2012, he dressed like the Leg Lamp from the movie A Christmas Story.

2013 saw him parading his most inspired costume yet–he wore a pink Lycra bodysuit and hoisted himself on crutches to become a flamingo.
