The Perfect Plate For Eating Pancakes, Lets Excess Maple Syrup Flow Away

How much syrup should you add to your pancakes?

To put an end to this breakfast food dilemma, Washington-based pancake aficionado and designer Jon Wye came up with the perfect plate for pancakes.

Called ‘Pancake Plate’, the plate for eating pancakes has a gently sloped surface.

When diners pour syrup on their pancakes, excess syrup would flow away to be collected into a small reservoir on the edge of the plate—keeping the pancakes separate from too much syrup, so that diners don’t have to eat a soggy mess.

For more syrup, diners can just dip the treat into the pool of syrup.

Though a little heavy because it’s made of stoneware, the plate keeps food warm and is even microwave- and dishwasher-safe.

The Pancake Plate is not only a great for eating pancakes with, but also for eating waffles and other regular meals that have gravy.

It retails at US$50 for a set of 2.
