Artists Decorate Toilets To Raise Awareness For Sanitation Project

‘C’mon, Give a Shit’ is a project started by social initiative Lava Mae to “generate awareness about the sanitation problem surrounding the homeless”.

To highlight the issue, they commissioned artists and designers to create “artsy toilets”, which were put on display along Market Street in San Francisco during the same week as ‘World Toilet Day’.

These toilets can be bought through an auction, and the proceeds will go to Lava Mae.

Lava Mae also has plans to roll out decommissioned Muni buses that serve as mobile showers for the homeless in March next year.
