New York-based filmmaker Casey Neistat was contacted to create a promotional film for a new movie by 20th Century Fox called “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, but he took the entire budget and did something completely different with it.
Using the entire budget allocated to him, he purchased two busloads of food supplies and traveled to the typhoon-hit areas of the Philippines, and distributed them all to the victims.
The film’s premise is about a man chasing his dreams, so Neistat found it completely necessary that his video could accomplish the same thing.
Since its upload five days ago, the video has already gone viral, with over 1 million views at last count.
