London-based creative studio Pearlfisher last worked on the branding of Cadbury Dairy Milk in 2008—recently, it has once again redesigned the global identity of the iconic chocolate bar to reflect both the brand’s essence and the unique personalities of its many flavors.

Taking a more fun and joyful approach to the redesign, it represents each of the over 50 chocolate flavors with its own imaginative icon and custom typography that visually express its taste and key ingredients.

The studio also gave the Dairy Milk logotype a subtle makeover to render it more in line with the new exuberant identity, while retaining the well-known milk splashes on the “i” and kick of the “k”.

With this redesign, the various flavors are now more easily identified—however, the Dairy Milk branding is still very much recognizable on this differentiated packaging.

This new design has already been rolled out in the UK, South Africa, India and Malaysia, and would continue to be introduced in other parts of the world in the coming months.
